The statues of an old Chinese couple from the village. From the the expressions on their faces, it seems as if this couple had dressed up to visit relatives or to go to a county fair.

Wood fired terra cotta. The clay used in this work is the famous purple clay from Jiang Xi province in the mid-south of China.
Grandma: 8-5/8" tall
Grandpa: 10-5/8" tall
