Chinese style painting. Meticulously detailized, with thin outlines and strong colors.

This painting depicts the beautiful and heart-warming scene of a Mongolian woman fetching water from a well for her camel flock. In the modern Inner Mongolia this kind of scene no longer exists. The artist painted this scene from his memory of half a century ago when people still dug their own wells where it was possible, and made buckets from young tamarix branches by hand, and constructed their own wooden levers to lift weights.

107 cm x 135 cm (approximated 42x53 inches, unframed). Painted in 2000.

The original artwork and hi-def Giclée reproduction prints may be available for purchased, unframed. Please contact us for price and availability.
